Red Eléctrica has virtually presented the Preview of the 2020 Spanish electricity system report , in which the main indicators of the operation of the electrical system during 2020 and its contribution towards a decarbonized model have been revealed. The event, held from the assembly hall of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, had the presence and participation of the president of the Red Eléctrica Group, Beatriz Corredor, and Manuel García, general director of Energy Policy and Mines. Unlike other years, the presentation had to be carried out in virtual format (via streaming) for all guests, with only the participating speakers present in person. To carry out the event and organize its complex digital broadcast, Red Eléctrica has trusted the team of (SOMOS) Brand Experience Firm . The program consisted of the presentation of the Preview with the intervention of different representatives of the Red Eléctrica management team, an opening and an institutional closing.
The event offered a broadcast service via live webcast , a streaming of the entire event embedded in a web page created ad hoc for the occasion and capable of connecting more than 1,000 concurrent users live (also broadcast Phone Number List on YouTube and Twitter) and the possibility of delayed transmission. Red Eléctrica and (SOMOS) Firm jointly committed to respecting a series of general sustainability criteria that would make the event a responsible and respectful act with the key role that both companies have in the transition towards a sustainable and decarbonized economy in a context of technological transformation and disruption. Criteria for a sustainable event The event, audited by Eventsost, had to undergo a complete analysis to identify and evaluate aspects related to different areas, assessing general criteria such as: Minimization of the consumption of materials for scenery and decoration.
Promote the eco-design of communication, dissemination and promotion materials (graphic materials made of 100% cellulose fiber from sustainable forests and printed with UVI-type ecological inks were used). Logistics associated with the management of selective waste collection , such as waste collection systems that allow the separation, storage and selective removal of waste. Optimization of energy consumption (lights, screens and other lighting devices have been LED or low consumption). Transfer commitments to sustainability to its supply chain (for example, there were bottled water bottles made with recycled PER and whose profits are used to make wells in Africa). The carbon footprint of the event was measured and the company will proceed to compensate for the footprint left by the event. Promote a culture of respect for diversity , guaranteeing equal opportunities and non-discrimination, as well as the promotion of personnel from vulnerable groups. Promote the use of vehicles with better energy efficiency and the use of public transport.
